Hoffman Falls Wind will offer significant financial contributions to the local community through new tax revenue, land agreements with Project participants, and employment opportunities

  • The Project is expected to provide $63 million in local investment to the Towns of Fenner, Nelson, Smithfield, and Eaton, Madison County, the Cazenovia and Morrisville-Eaton Central School Districts, and participating landowners.

  • The Towns are expected to share approximately $400,000 annually through the development of a Host Community Agreement, based on past precedent set by similar projects of this scale in New York State.

  • The Project will provide revenue to over 40 local participating landowners and their families through lease agreements and easements that create reliable income from the land for years to come.

  • This revenue includes additional annual payments of $100,000 through a Shared Community Payment Program which will be made out to neighbors of the Project.

  • The Project will create approximately 52 full-time construction jobs and up to three permanent operations and maintenance jobs, in addition to contracting local labor for ongoing services such as road repair, snow removal, and vegetation management.
