Agricola Wind will deliver substantial benefits to Cayuga County, including new jobs, additional tax revenue, and local infrastructure improvements

  • The Project is expected to provide a total of $63 million in local investments to the Towns of Scipio and Venice, Cayuga County, the Southern Cayuga County School District, local fire districts, and participating landowners.

  • The Towns are expected to share approximately $400,000 annually through the development of a Host Community Agreement, based on past precedent set by similar projects of this scale in New York State.

  • The Project is expected to create over 52 full-time construction jobs.

  • The Project is estimated to hire up to three local long-term operations and maintenance (O&M) managers and will contract local labor for ongoing services such as road repair, snow removal, and vegetation management.

  • To accommodate the construction activities and operations of the site, the Project will improve and repair local town, county, and state roads as necessary to maintain pre-construction conditions.
